Murphy's Upholstery

This is my grandmother’s rocking chair purchased sometime in the 1930s. Murphy’s did a great job with the upholstery! They have quite a large inventory of fabrics to choose from. It’s ready for another 80 years! Credit to Phil Barker’s Furniture Refinishing for their fine work, too.

I had a sofa, 2 slipper chairs, and 6 dining chairs to reupholster. They were well over 30 years old and were dirty, ripping and tearing. Murphy's Upholstery did a wonderful job. The pickup and delivery crew were professional, on time, in and out quickly, and were careful not to damage the floors and walls. The cost was reasonable, and the cost quoted was the same -there were no surprise charges when the work had been completed. I will use them again and I highly recommend them.

We initially went to Murphy to have some chairs recovered that were apparently too difficult for another shop. They came out beautifully! Since then we had another pair of chairs reupholstered and wouldn’t think of going somewhere else. Highly recommend!

I used Murphy's Upholstery to reupholster 6 dining chairs, 3 club chairs, and 3 counter stools. They did a phenomenal job, as you can see in the pictures. Great attention to detail and pattern matching. Very high quality work. I could not be happier with how everything turned out. I will gladly use them again for future upholstery projects. They aren't cheap, but you get what you pay for. There are no surprises, because they provide a solid estimate up front, as well as a reliable timeline. Well worth it.

I went into Murphy’s shop to have them look at the custom chair I designed and made. I needed a seat and back pad but wasn’t sure if they could do what I needed. Very quickly they answered all my questions and had a detailed quote printed out. 3 weeks later, it was done and exceeded my expectations. They are not cheap but they are true craftsmen and deserve to be paid as such. My work is going to be passed on to future generations so I need the upholstery quality to match.
